Welcome / introduction / overview of The Hospital Construction Channel

[Construction noise] [Construction noise fades away]
[Male narrator]
Hello and welcome to the “Hospital Construction” channel In San Francisco, there’s an entirely new hospital being built
Its going be 12 stories high and occupy an entire city block On this channel, we’ll be following that construction
with various time-lapses and closeup videos of various kinds All the way until construction completion,
which is scheduled to be in 2018 so a ways away yet As I make this welcome video here at the start of the channel
it is just a hole in the ground, a hole that will be getting a lot bigger as they excavate This highly detailed architectural drawing that I made here
gives an idea of where the new hospital will be There used to be a large hotel at this location
that occupied the entire city block of course they had to demolish that
before construction could start If you’re interesting in seeing that demolition,
I suggest you go over to one of my other channels The “Hotel Demolition” channel On that channel I covered all 9 months of the demolition
with time-lapses and closeup videos There’s a link to that channel on the page for this channel I should mention I don’t have affiliation with the hospital
or any of the construction companies I’m just doing this as a hobby
showing what’s visible to the public Because it is just a hobby for me
and I have a job and other things to do Sometimes I get a little bit behind,
sometimes even a few months behind But rest assured I’m always recording
with at least one, sometimes two, even three cameras so eventually I’ll catch up
and edit videos and get them up there I don’t know quite what sort of video
I’ll be able to get over the years especially as the outer shell of the building goes up
and construction moves inside, but we’ll see! I hope you’ll follow along with me
over the next several years And please feel free to comment, I’d love to hear from you,
and I hope you enjoy the “Hospital Construction” channel

  2. I visited San Francisco during 7th to the 11th nov not knowing you had started this channel. I came across the site of this hospital and walked the block not knowing you were making a video of the hospital.. So yay i made it in one of your videos thank you .
Btw keep up the great vids

  3. This is so cool i followed the demolition one and kind of felt sad that it ended, Not knowing until watching the final episode you were covering the construction as well! Thanks for sharing hope to possibly see more projects in the future

  4. Hey (Insert your name here lol),

I have a few questions for you regarding your channel if you don't mind me asking. Sorry if this has been covered in your other videos. I often jump around with the sound off and leave it on as I do other things on my computer (dual screen setup FTW! lol)

How are you able to record so much of the construction? How does it conflict with your schedule with stuff like work and all?

You seem to know enough about construction to make me assume you have some kind of background in it. Does this ring true?

Your camera seems to be outside. What kind of vantage point do you have to give such a clear view of the site?

Thanks for the videos and I look forward to following them over time. Interestingly enough, I just finished watching a hospital being built in Chicago over a webstream. This will be a great series to replace that. You can view it here if interested.

  5. Just discovered this channel because in Nottingham UK we have a lot of new building going right now (2019) on the south side near our train station including a 10storey tax office. I found your channel because of the tower crane. Subbed because I want to see the process of this hospital.
