Te Puea Herangi’s philosophy at the heart of new nursing qualification

Manukau Institute of Technology
today launched a new qualification designed to attract more Maori
to health careers. Te Tohu Paetahi Tikanga Rangatira
aa-Tapuhi is underpinned by
Princess Te Puea Herangi’s legacy and her commitment to advancing
health outcomes for Maori. Te Rauhiringa Brown has more. Today marks the launch
of the Bachelor of Nursing Maori at the Manukau Institute
of Technology. Furthermore, the foundation
of the programme itself is underpinned by Princess Te Puea Herangi’s
philosophy. And so these students
in the industry have enrolled in this programme. And Jade Thompson says they are experiencing
the benefits of these efforts. If I dream, I dream alone. If we all dream as a collective, we can achieve our dream. Te Rauhiringa Brown, Te Karere.
