Hi, my name is Veronica Carrasco Cabrera.
I am one of the physicians here at the Salem Health Medical Clinic – Edgewater. I
grew up in Cuenca, Ecuador. I did my medical school at the University of
Cuenca — and then I moved forward into my residency training at the East Tennessee
State University. The reason why I wanted to become a doctor is that even as a
child, I always saw myself as a caretaker. What I love the most about family
medicine is the variety of patients that you get to see in your practice.
I do enjoy working with Salem Health because I do feel that Salem Health has
brought wonderful professionals to the area. Our goal is to provide wonderful
care to our patients. There is a lot of overlap from what I do at home and what
I love doing at work. But when I do have some free time, I do love exercising with
strength training, cycling, and running. I do have some family members that
live here in Oregon and I do love to spend some time with them as well.
