Dr. Steve Ratcliff: Anthony’s a great case
for a Study Club discussion, because there’s so many ways that you can treat him successfully. He’s a 52-year-old male who’s been edentulous
or at least partially edentulous for almost 30 years. He’s currently wearing an implant bar-retained
over-denture that’s about eight years old and is in a constant state of disrepair, due
to occlusal wear and teeth breaking or popping off. The learning objectives for Anthony’s case
are evaluating the edentulous arch for implant restorative prostheses, understanding the
choices for fixed or fixed detachable restorations, and then finally creating a final treatment
plan and a complex implant case.
