Outpatient Infusion Center

23:58:44 (Nurse talking to Fred) – Hey Fred,
welcome back. Are you ready for your infusion? (I’m ready.) OK. FRED SAUTER HAS BEEN COMING TO MARY GREELEY’S
OUTPATIENT INFUSION CENTER FOR A LONG TIME. HE HAS LEUKEMIA AND TODAY HE’S HERE TO GET
A BLOOD PLATELET TRANSFUSION. Fredric Sauter, Infusion Center Patient
7:11:04 I took chemo shots for a year and a half and it finally got to where it didn’t
do any good so they took me off all chemo. All I’m doing now is getting blood products. THE INFUSION CENTER IS CONVENIENTLY LOCATED
ON THE INPATIENT ONCOLOGY UNIT ON THE FIFTH FLOOR OF THE WEST PATIENT TOWER. IT’S STAFFED BY FOCUSED ONCOLOGY NURSES
AND A FULL-TIME, ON-SITE ONCOLOGY PHARMACIST. YOUR MEDICATIONS AND TREATMENTS ARE CONSTANTLY
EVALUATED FOR INTERACTIONS. WE ALSO PROVIDE THE INFORMATION YOU NEED TO TAKE MEDICATIONS
SAFELY AT HOME. THE CENTER OFFERS INFUSION TREATMENTS FOR
PATIENTS WITH VARIOUS MEDICAL NEEDS — 24 HOURS A DAY, SEVEN DAYS A WEEK. Infusions, whether it be IV antibiotics, medications, chemotherapy or blood products. (Fred) There’s times I’ll spend a
couple hours up to six to seven hours, depending on what products I need at that time.
BECAUSE OUR PATIENTS ARE OFTEN HERE SO LONG, THE INFUSION CENTER TREATMENT ROOM INCLUDES
AMENITIES SUCH AS: • COMFORTABLE RECLINING CHAIRS
• INDIVIDUAL TELEVISION SCREENS FOR EACH INFUSION CHAIR
• INTERNET ACCESS WITH COMPLIMENTARY WI-FI • A SPACIOUS FAMILY WAITING ROOM
• AND A BEAUTIFUL NEARBY ROOFTOP GARDEN (Amanda) It’s great. The workflow
is much improved, it has improved our satisfaction as employees. It has improved patient satisfaction. (Fred) It’s been a great group to
work with, right down the line. You know everyone has a bad day every once in a while but you
never see it in here. Everyone’s got a smile. Very professional. And just very
nice people. LEARN MORE ABOUT MARY GREELEY’S INFUSION
