Opportunities For Independence: The ADDIE MCBRYDE CENTER for the Blind

We teach quality of life skills such as kitchen skills; safety – being the main thing there. We teach braille, if that person is going to be a braille user. We teach different types of communication, such as handwriting. For someone who has never seen the alphabet before, it’s difficult. Blindness is what they know. We’ve got to get with them on the other skills.
