Meet Izabela Maciolek, Physician Assistant with The Oregon Clinic

My name is Izabela Maciolek and I’m a
physician assistant at The Oregon Clinic Gastroenterology – West. I graduated fifteen years ago from the
Oregon Health and Sciences University physician assistant program. Over the past 13 years I have treated patients with a variety of gastrointestinal complaints, but I’m most passionate about treating patients with inflammatory bowel disease. When I first learned about the physician assistant profession, I knew that it was a great fit for me because it combines the knowledge of
science with the ability to develop relationships with patients. I absolutely
love to provide care to patients and help them navigate the knowledge about
the disease process and hopefully help them make a decision about the
appropriate treatment. I moved to Portland twenty-five years ago from Poland and Portland reminds me so much of my home with its lush greenery and
mountainous terrain. It has a lot of cultural offerings with theater, concerts,
and galleries, and of course its culinary scene. My favorite thing to do is to
spend time with my family and friends. We enjoy exploring the Pacific Northwest
and all of the Oregon Coast. I enjoy photography and capturing the beauty of
this beautiful state. We also recently acquired a puppy so we’re having fun
getting to know the little member of our family.
