Meet Dr. Hetal Fichadia, Plastic, Reconstructive & Hand Surgeon at The Oregon Clinic

I’m Hetal Fichadia. I’m a Plastic and Reconstructive
Surgeon at The Oregon Clinic. My specialty is Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. That
means I do surgeries such as breast augmentation, liposuction, abdominoplasty, reconstructive
surgery after breast cancer or skin cancer, and hand surgeries such as carpal tunnel problems,
arthritis, or trauma. I want my patients to be treated the same way as I
would like my family member or myself to be treated. I believe that patients should be true partners
in their healthcare decision making, and they should feel well-informed. Plastic surgery is unique because of
the breadth of its scope of practice. It trains you to work on different parts of
the body and demands incredible technical precision. It’s the balance between the reconstructive
and aesthetic surgery that appeals to me the most. I know that my reconstructive practice
informs my aesthetic practice and vice versa. To me, it’s the perfect combination of art
and science. I have two daughters, and I like to spend as much time as possible with them outside of work. I also like to go on hikes, and cook, and eat good food. I love the culture
of the Pacific Northwest, the warmth and down-to-earth nature of the people. I also love the incredible
natural beauty that surrounds you every time you go outside. Portland is a great city for
its food and it allows me to be close to my family.
