How is Butt Augmentation Performed? | Brazilian Butt Lift | The Plastic Surgery Clinic

Buttock augmentation surgery is rising in
popularity very rapidly. Essentially there’s 2 different ways to do buttock augmentation
and reshape the buttock. One is to do what’s called a Brazilian Butt Lift, where we harvest
fat from other areas of the body and inject it to create curves and volume in the buttock.
In the other instance, we use solid silicone implants and place them in the buttock to
enlarge and reshape the buttock. Solid silicone implants are generally reserved for patients
who really don’t have any fat to harvest and transfer to their buttock. The implants used
for buttock augmentation are made out of solid silicone. When they’re implanted, they feel
like a firm buttock that’s muscular. One of the benefits of performing Brazilian Butt
Lift and injecting fat to shape the buttock is the additional benefit of getting liposuction
of the surrounding areas. In my opinion, it’s equally important to not only make the buttock
larger and more shapely, but to also frame it appropriately making the hips and waist
smaller and more contoured, and also some areas such as the inner and outer thighs so
that we create smooth, s-shaped curves. In many instances women not only want a larger
buttock but they also want a smaller waist and more shapely appearing silhouette.
