Bozeman Health buys Medical Clinic of Big Sky

BIG SKY RESORT….. WHICH HAS SERVED THE BIG SKY COMMUNITY FOR MORE THAN 24 YEARS. MTN S KENNETH WEBB SPEAKS WITH THE ORIGINAL OWNER…. TO SEE WHETHER OR NOT HE WILL STAY WITH THE PRACTICE. Jeffrey Daniels (Primary Care Physician at Medical Clinic of Big Sky): Big Sky is getting busier and our medical needs are getting busier and now we’re transitioned to team up with the Hospital. Bozeman Health built a beautiful Hospital in Big Sky 2 years ago and now we are combining our services with them and I think that’s going to be for the betterment of everybody here in our community. Kenneth Webb: Dr. Daniels has been the only health care provider in the valley since the mid 90’s until Big Sky Medical Center was built. Jeffrey Daniels (Primary Care Physician at Medical Clinic of Big Sky): I moved to Big Sky in 1994. There was no physician here. There were no X-Rays, no X-ray machine, there were ambulances circling around bringing people up to Bozeman. So I looked at that and said boy this would be a nice place to create a practice and changed my life, my family’s life. Kenneth Webb: Bozeman Health is happy that he’ll continue to remain the practitioner at the medical clinic at Big Sky Resort. Lauren Brendel (Director of Marketing Communications for Bozeman Health): Dr. Daniels has been caring for the Big Sky community for more than 24 years and in order to ensure his clinic and operations, sustainability and making sure that access is readily available for our residents and visitors of Big Sky. Having him and his team join our Bozeman Health Family was really important to us. Kenneth Webb: According to Dr. Daniels, he is wanting to take some time off on either side of the ski season. Jeffrey Daniels (Primary Care Physician at Medical Clinic of Big Sky): I have gotten to a point where I was hoping to get a little bit more time to spend here. I see all my friends playing golf and skiing so I figured it would be a little bit easier if I didn’t have all the responsibilities of running my own medical practice, Kenneth Webb: Having Daniels practice under the Bozeman Health Team.. makes it more convenient and easy for patientsin emergencysituations. Lauren Brendel (Director of Marketing Communications for Bozeman Health): If something happens that you need a higher level of care and you need to come up to Deaconness Hospital, all of our records are integrated so we know that you’re coming and we are ready for you and that just makes the care and services, we’re able to provide that much stronger. Jeffrey Daniels (Primary Care Physician at Medical Clinic of Big Sky): We need a place up here on the mountain for the ski resort and even the summer. I will be here and I’ll see anything that happens up on the mountain and my patients know where to find me. Kenneth Webb: Even though the medical clinic is under management, Dr. Jeff Daniels wants everybody to know that he’ll continue to be the practitioner here up on the mountain.
